The tour will begin at Baxley Hall (formerly University Hall) in the Welcome Center (http://www.coastal.edu/tour/stour.html). Please arrive between 2:00pm and 2:15pm to sign in with Ms. Holly Sasser. Since this field trip experience is a walking tour, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing. The walking tour is open to all and there is not an admission charge to participate in the tour. The tour will also include a visit to the campus store. Thus, if you would like to purchase t-shirts or items from the college bookstore, please bring funds.
Students and families may also dine on campus or off campus on their own. If you are interested in dining on campus and would like to make arrangements, please contact Terri Brothers of Coastal Carolina University at 843-349-2422 or tbrother@coastal.edu.
Beginning at 6:30pm, students and families may also enjoy a musical concert featuring Gloriana at Coastal’s Wheelwright Auditorium. Check the site www.gloriana.com to learn more about the Top 40 Country band. SCVCS students and families may purchase discount tickets for $12.00 in advance to see Gloriana.
All SCVCS students must be accompanied by a learning coach or parent to participate in the free Coastal Carolina University Campus Walking Tour. Once arriving at the Welcome Center, SCVCS students and learning coaches must sign in with Ms. Holly Sasser and complete a permission slip.
In order to purchase Gloriana concert tickets at the $12.00 discounted rate, a money order in the amount for the correct number of tickets payable to Holly Sasser must be received no later than Friday, October 25, 2013. After Oct. 25th, concert tickets are $15.00 and available at the Wheelwright Box Office. Please mail payment and number of Gloriana concert tickets needed along with your name and phone number to Holly Sasser, PO Box 1175, Conway, SC 29528. Discounted concert tickets will be disbursed only at the beginning of the campus walking tour.
If you will attend the free Coastal Carolina University Walking Tour sponsored by the SCVCS English Department, please kmail Ms. Holly Sasser to confirm the number of participants in your party along with your name and phone number by Friday, October 25, 2013.
Additional Note****CCU students and the campus are continuing their Homecoming celebration on Friday, November 1, 2013. The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers dressed out in teal, gold, and black will take the football field on Saturday, November 2, 2013, and take on the Charlotte 49ers.
