Maugham once said, "There are three rules for writing the novel.
Unfortunately, no one knows what they are." I suppose if we knew and
applied the rules, we might be sitting on a beach somewhere collecting
residuals from our last blockbuster novels. But, until that time we're
going to take the journey together, encourage each other, and keep focused on
trying to make our writing the best it can be. Bring
an original piece that can be read in less than two minutes, or just
hang out in the clubhouse until you feel confident enough to share. Mrs.
