Cypress Gardens 2011

Fifty students, parents, and teachers enjoyed a picture perfect day at Cypress Gardens in Moncks Corner on Monday of this week.  Students took a 45 minute boat tour through the black water swamp where they saw turtles, alligators, carnivorous plants, and remnants of the set used in the filming of the "The Patriot".  Students dip netted to collect fish, amphibians, and arthropods near the swamp's edge, and participated in a discussion of reptile and amphibian adaptations with live animals.  A second field trip to Cypress Gardens is scheduled for April 13th and is open to all Science students!!  Enjoy the pictures from our trip!!  You can click on the pictures to make them larger!!
