On Saturday, September 17th, the SCVCS Freshman Academy participated in Beach Sweep at Myrtle Beach State Park. Beach Sweep is a national event where people all over the country join together to clean the nation's waterways. This is the second year that SCVCS has participated in the event. Saturday's weather was unseasonably chilly and the threat of adverse weather kept the turnout low, but fun was had by everyone in attendance. After helping to save the environment, we enjoyed lunch on the beachfront deck at Damon's Grill.
